When my summer internship was cancelled due to the pandemic, I moved to a homestead in Vermont to explore my passion for organic farming and sustainable living. The three months I spent planting, harvesting, and caring for animals were some of the sweatiest and most refreshing experiences of my life.
By spending time with both seasoned farmers and beginning gardeners, I discovered that although everyone had unique reasons for growing their own food, there was a palpable sense of community around local, organic farming.
I created this project to document my journey and the lessons I learned. Through these images, I hope to spread awareness about the value of real food grown with love and care for the soil, earth, and its people
