vegetal gloom
Living in isolation at my family's house deep in the Massachusetts forests for the past eight months during the peak of COVID, I struggle to recall a time when I felt so uninspired for such an extended period.
My arms felt heavy every time I reached for my camera in an effort to find some sort of spark, as my eyes grew fatigued from staring at the same suburban scenes day-after-day.
Taken during and after sunset using both natural and artificial lighting, the images in this series represent an attempt to shake off the weariness of the self as I re-examined familiar elements of my environment through photography.
